day 38 of 50 Limping, Like Jacob, with broken heel

Jacqueline: (heel from a shoe)
unbalanced, uneven & unstable,
despite it all, we're still walking.

Amichai: With 12 days yet to go on this journey, a broken heel can be what makes it perfect, or perhaps, a fix is due right now?
We stumble through life, full of our imperfections, trying to hide them or camouflage our flaws in genius ways. Every journey brings, at best, a deeper understanding of just how ok it is to be imperfect, and how each of us, in different ways, is doing just the best we can. Awareness of the flaws, this heel, for instance, are tokens of kindness, important winks: The little tweaks, a visit to the shoemaker or the therapist , are small reminders of what we can do to be more happy, and to stumble less.
38, Tiferet of Yesod, is the full heart kindness needed as we focus on the root of our own undoing, and the root of our deepest hopes. To stand firm, both heels, naked, in the wet soil, tall and straight, an I between earth and heaven, grounded in the will to keep on walking and to make a difference with each day's new count. Jacob, also, he who represents Tiferet, on his journey home, wrestled and walked away limping, a wrestler with all that perfectly is.
